These frequent errors irritate me each time I see them:
To affect means to influence.
Effect is a noun, not a verb.
There are global issues that affect everyone, the placebo effect is not one of them.
The character "*" is an asterisk, not an asteriks. Asterix is a cartoon character.
The character "&" is an ampersand. One does not have to make a face and suddenly become flustered at the keyboard when asked to type an ampersand.
The comma belongs to grammar? Or to punctuation? Read what the Panda thinks.

Well, whatever the British think about who invented Fast Food, "French fries" probably came from Belgium and fish-and-chips was invented later.
